About Play Parking

Play Parking is a small, focused website dedicated to one thing: parking arcade games you can play instantly in a web browser.

What Play Parking is

Play Parking publishes original top-down parking arcade games and practical guides about how to play them. Our tagline — Park, Drive, Dodge & Master Every Space — sums up the idea: short, replayable challenges built around steering a car into a marked bay, dodging obstacles and traffic along the way.

We are deliberately a niche site. Instead of hosting hundreds of unrelated games, we concentrate on parking gameplay and try to make each game feel distinct: reverse-in bays, parallel street gaps, precision targets, moving traffic, countdowns, mazes, multi-level garages and a daily challenge.

Our focus: arcade parking, not simulation

The games use lightweight arcade physics designed to feel responsive and fair. They are entertainment. They are not driving simulators, they do not teach real-world driving and they are not a substitute for professional driver training, road-safety education or local traffic rules. Our disclaimer explains this in more detail.

The games

There are currently 16 playable games on the site, grouped into eight parking game categories:

  • Parking Challenge — Five open-air lot levels with parked cars, cones and par times. Park clean and beat the clock.
  • Reverse Parking — Every bay is reverse-in. Five levels of backing into spaces as the neighboring cars close in.
  • Precision Parking — A hard game for neat parkers: 8° tolerance and accuracy targets that rise from 50% to 80%.
  • Parallel Parking — Five street levels of curbside parking, with the gap between the front and rear car shrinking each time.
  • Parking Rush — Endless timed mode: start with 40 seconds, earn time with each park, and keep the run alive.
  • Parking Lot — Easy: four big scrolling lots with aisles and islands. Find the right bay and park in it.
  • Tight Parking — Very narrow bays, an 8° tolerance, reverse-in bays later on and a 3-collision limit.
  • Cone Parking — Slalom past cones, through gates and along cone lines, then park before the timer runs out.
  • Parking Maze — Walled maze decks with dead ends and a timer. Find the route to the bay in the far corner.
  • Garage Parking — An indoor garage with pillars and ramp zones. Reach the target floor, then park in the bay.
  • Parking Tower — Climb four or five floors of a tight-pillared tower against the clock and park on the top floor.
  • City Parking — City blocks with curbs, street parking and light moving traffic. Park before the timer ends.
  • Perfect Park — Short, hard levels that reward efficient driving. Every change of direction costs 25 points.
  • Traffic Parking — Cars loop the aisles and get faster each level. Time your moves and park with 3 collisions max.
  • Parking Escape — Start boxed in by cars and walls, then maneuver out to the green EXIT zone. No bay needed.
  • Daily Parking Challenge — A new lot every day, generated from your device's date. Beat today's best and your all-time best.

Original HTML5 gameplay

Every game is built from scratch with HTML5 Canvas and plain JavaScript. There are no game engines, frameworks, plug-ins or downloads. The vehicles, parking lots, garages, icons, thumbnails and sound effects are original: cars are drawn with simple shapes, and sounds are synthesized in the browser with the Web Audio API. We do not use vehicle manufacturer logos, commercial game branding, famous characters or screenshots of other games.

All the games share one small engine — vehicle physics, collision detection, parking-zone detection, a camera, timers, scoring and touch/keyboard controls — so improvements to one game benefit all of them.

How games are tested

Before a game is published we check that it actually works: the car moves, steers, brakes and reverses; collisions and parking detection behave consistently; every level can be completed; timers, scoring, pause, restart, success and failure states work; and the game can be played with a keyboard, with touch buttons and with a mouse. We also check that the page does not scroll while you are steering and that there are no errors in the browser console. When we find a bug, we fix it and re-test the affected games.

Content standards

Our guides explain the real mechanics of our games — the exact controls, the angle tolerances, how accuracy and time bonuses are calculated — so the advice is specific and verifiable. We avoid filler, invented statistics and exaggerated claims. We never claim that playing parking games improves real driving ability. The editorial policy and fact-checking policy describe the process in full.

Who runs the site

Content on Play Parking is published under the name Play Parking Editorial Team. The team's role covers game testing, gameplay documentation, content editing, parking arcade game development and technical quality checks. We do not claim credentials we do not have: no one on the team is presented as a driving instructor or automotive expert.

Copyright principles

We create our own games, artwork and text. If we ever use an external asset, we check and record its license first. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, please contact us and we will review it promptly.

Free to play, supported by advertising

All games are free. The site is designed so that it can be supported by clearly labelled advertising in the future. Ads are kept separate from the games: they never cover the play area or the controls and are never disguised as Play buttons.
